Most early deaths in the September footage are not a damage-number problem. They are sunlight, stakes, and not having a door.
Sunlight
A vampire outdoors while it is sunny catches fire in recorded play. The player says so on the clip. No damage per second, no clock time for dawn, and no "safe shade" radius is published. Interiors and the castle are the shelters walkthroughs use. Night is when those vampires travel.
Humans in the same walkthroughs do not take that burn, which is why the first-session order keeps you Human until the outdoor quests are done.
Two protection names circulate, and they have not been proven to be one item:
- Daylight Rings sit on September shop lists next to wooden stakes, blood bags, and stat boosts, bought with Money. No effect line is printed there.
- Sun Ring is what a September 19–21 update recap calls pricey. Players ask why it is 5,000. The recap says it gives protection from the sun and health. The quote never says 5,000 of which currency. Nothing shows a code that grants the ring. You buy it.
Read the merchant tooltip before you spend. A separate single recording mentions a vampire hat worn against sun damage. That hat is one clip, not a shop row.
Witches are not described as burning. One crafting article even says witches do not burn and would brew a temporary ring for a vampire friend. That article prices goods in Coins and was not corroborated, so it is not a crafting walkthrough on this site.
Other hazards that repeat
- Wooden stakes: players stab vampires with them. Stakes are also a shop weapon.
- Neck snap on Q and hearts being taken show up as kills. Humans in the same clips could not snap necks.
- Church: one vampire said they could not enter the church. Which buildings share that rule is not listed. Use other interiors to break a chase.
- Blood: vampires say they need to eat somebody. Blood bags are the shop backup. How fast hunger hits zero is not documented.
- Guards: one walkthrough shows a city guard killing a low-level player outright.
Hunting between vampires, hunters, and wolves is open PvP in the footage, with movement bugs and falls off the map in the same sessions. There is no published damage table. Buy gear, then learn the fight on a target you can afford to lose.
The sleep move on B is the non-combat vampire tool from the update recap: small XP over time, not a defensive cooldown.
